Doing our bit,
one plate at a time

Sustainability at JP’s Kitchen is about doing what’s right – for the environment, our community, and the people we serve. We make conscious choices every day to reduce waste, share resources, and respect the impact we have along the way.

In our business, waste is inevitable, but it’s how we deal with this reality that matters.

locally sourced

Locally
sourced

We work closely with local farms and trusted suppliers, such as Great Garnetts Farm, Donald Freeston and Elm Valley, to source most of our ingredients.

It’s a choice that supports the local economy, but it also means we’re keeping our food miles down – shorter distances mean lower carbon emissions in the transportation of produce from farm to fork – and ensures that we use fresher, better-tasting ingredients to create every dish we serve.

good stuff

Sharing the
good stuff

Wherever we can, we ensure that nothing goes to waste.

Leftover meals, those we have not served, are shared with a local homeless shelter to help provide hearty Sunday dinners – turning surplus into something that nourishes those most in need and brings people together.

future commitment

A growing commitment
to the future

We know there’s more to do, and we’re taking steps to go further. For instance, next year we’re committed to planting over 600 trees to go some way to offsetting our own carbon footprint.

The goal is to plant five trees for every £1,000 spent with us so we can do our bit for the environment, one plate at a time.
