No Two weddings should feel the same.
That’s why ours never do

At JP’s Kitchen, we don’t believe in standardised menus or off-the-shelf packages – every couple is different, and your menu should be too. Whether you’re planning a relaxed garden celebration or a formal sit-down dinner, a small and intimate affair or a wedding at scale, we take the time to listen, understand and create an experience for your big day that reflects your own personal story.

Menus that mirror
your individual taste

We’ve catered weddings for all tastes and traditions – from a 4,000-canapé reception for a couple and 200 of their closest friends and family, to a three-course steak dinner where the cut of beef had been personally selected by the groom, a professional butcher.

We’ve sourced rare ingredients from the other side of the globe, replicated family recipes down to the pinch of salt, partnered with high-end mixologists to add a little theatrical flourish, and even themed drinks menus to a couple’s favourite films.

These aren’t special cases, they’re glimpses into how far we go to personalise every flavour, flourish and finishing touch to make your wedding feel like it was made for you and no one else.

Quality, taste and sustainability

Created with passion and care

Our chefs can prepare dishes from a wide range of cuisines, and for quality, taste and sustainability we favour fresh, local and seasonal ingredients wherever possible.

Every client is invited to a tasting experience, where we’ll prepare a number of dishes so you can experience for yourself the quality we deliver at every wedding, and where we can create a menu tailored just for you.

The team were amazing on the day and went above and beyond to deliver incredible delicious dishes! The Bar staff were brilliant, always serving with a smile and had a great rapport with our guests. James also helped take care of lots of little aspects in the background, making sure the day ran smoothly.

what our
customers say

Your day, in good hands

Meticulous planning, seamless delivery

From the moment you book, you’ll have our full attention. Our team offers unlimited briefings, and you’ll have access to your own private online portal to track everything – from our proposal and your tasting notes to the day’s running order and beyond. When the big day arrives, a senior team member will be on-site to coordinate both kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring everything runs flawlessly.

We work with brides, grooms, parents, planners and venues to plan and deliver catering for weddings of all sizes, traditions and religious denominations – from low-key 60-guest celebrations to lavish large-scale gatherings – ensuring that every dish, from the first canapé to the final plate, is prepared with the same precision, care and pride.

Planning your quote

How your wedding catering quote comes together

Because we don’t sell off-the-shelf packages, every wedding quote is built around your day rather than a fixed price list. These are the things that shape it most:

Guest numbers and timings – how many guests join you for the wedding breakfast and how many arrive for the evening. We cater for everything from low-key 60-guest celebrations to large-scale weddings.

Style of service – canapés, a formal sit-down wedding breakfast, a relaxed buffet or evening food, or a mix across the day.

Your menu – the dishes and ingredients you choose, plus any dietary, cultural or religious requirements, all shaped with you at your tasting.

Your venue – where it is in Essex, London or the South East, what kitchen facilities it has, and whether it’s a dry hire venue where more of the set-up comes from us.

Drinks and staffing – whether you add our bar hire service, and the size of front-of-house team your day needs.

To get started, send us your date, venue and estimated guest numbers. We’ll come back with a tailored proposal, and every couple is invited to a tasting so the final menu is exactly right.

Real weddings

Adam & Kelly’s summer wedding in Ongar, Essex

In July we catered Adam and Kelly’s wedding in Ongar for 150 guests, including 21 children. Guests mingled over six canapés – from king prawn with lime and coriander to lamb kofta with tzatziki – before a smoked fish duo with peppered beetroot and shaved fennel.

The main course was fillet steak made with British beef sourced directly from Adam’s own butchery business, with an indulgent Wellington for vegetarian guests and a dedicated children’s menu. Dessert was a chocolate and Baileys glass, and later in the evening we served our own crispy chicken with corn, beans, coleslaw and chips.
