We invite you to join us at our dedicated dining space in the heart of Maldon, Essex, for a tasting experience. It’s an opportunity for us to meet face-to-face, shape a menu that’s uniquely yours, and, most importantly, for you to taste the dishes we’ll prepare for you.

You’ll spend a couple of indulgent hours with James, chef and founder of JP’s Kitchen, who will personally prepare dishes inspired by your ideas, your tastes, and your plans for the day. Jess will ensure that your glass is kept full while working with you to shape a menu that’s truly yours.

It’s an intimate experience where the food, flavours and your vision all come together – one that gives you a taste of both the quality of what we serve and the personal service that sets us apart.

We believe tastings are about more than just sampling dishes – they’re about building your confidence in us and your excitement for the big event. We’ll prepare dishes you’re already considering and introduce a few new ideas you might not have thought of, so we can refine every course until it feels just right.

A setting that
feels like home

We host all our tastings at a warm, welcoming, Georgian townhouse in the centre of the historic market town of Maldon in Essex. For most tastings you’ll be with Jess in the dining room while James prepares your feast in the chef’s kitchen, but where your event calls for a barbeque, we’ll all be out in the garden – weather permitting.

We’re easy to find and there are great transport links to Maldon, but if you need directions all you need do is ask.
